A Valentine 2nd Birthday

A 2nd valentine birthday bash was successful!

I was so happy with how B's party turned out! She looked adorable as always

She really liked to pick out her own outfits as of this last month. So I usually give her a few choices (pants, shirts, and shoes) to let her pick from. I had this adorable shirt I purchased a collaboration by JandPaper and SaSeaDecor on Etsy.

NEW Valentines Day Olive You Raglan Baseball Tee With Artwork By JandPaper Available In Matching Mommy And Me Styles Ships weekend of 1/25
(buy it here)

But B was not having it. So she kept the kitty shirt on she wore for most of the day(thank goodness it didn't get dirty) paired it with hear teal leggings, a gray tutu, heart crown, and her birthday shoes from Aunt K.

And yes that is the beer cooler she is sitting on

We decided to do heart shaped pizzas to go along with our theme. They turned out awesome (except for the one I left in too long, shhh) Our pizza choices were cheese, pepperoni, or mushroom and black olive. My wonderful mom had made baked ziti and the famous Sigler garlic bread. There was also a plan salad as well. And of course I didn't eat till the party was over, but isn't that how it always goes for us moms?

After the kids had eaten all they wanted were the cupcakes after that. So we sang a quick "Happy Birthday to B" and gave the kids some cake. And if you give the kids some cake after they're going to want to open presents right away. Which they did.

In the end of it all the kids were on a sugar high from multiple cupcakes and the adults happy after a brewski (or 2 or 3)

Happy 2nd Birthday baby girl! I hope you had the very best time!

Valentine Birthday Cupcakes

For B's cupcakes I wanted to do a red, pink, and white layered cake. I wanted to have the liners to be gold so I thought these ones would work perfectly.

Fox Run Gold Foil Standard Bake Cups, 32 Cups

Now as far as the cake went I made up a white cake batter. I then just used red and pink food coloring gel to dye the batter. Now the whole putting each color in at once was SUPER time consuming. I'm not sure I will ever to this again for a cupcake.

The frosting was a vanilla butter cream frosting with a dark chocolate heart brushed with edible gold dust.

I honestly in love with the end product! They looked too beautiful to eat, but we ate them up. So yummy!

Invites and Decor for B's Birthday

It was pretty hard this year to think of a theme for B's 2nd birthday. I had thought Little Mermaid theme would work cause of her love for that movie. I also thought a Dr. Seuss theme would be fun cause she just loves to read books. I then thought a Disney Princess party, she loves to dress up in all the little outfits Santa gave her for x-mas. I wanted to wait for the mermaid and princess party till she had a few friends come over and they could be princesses/mermaids too. I got to talking to my little sister about B's birthday and she told me to do a Valentine birthday and i was hooked!

Pinks, reds, white, purples, gold, and silver have been dancing in my head ever since! So for my invites I decided to make them as Valentines. Like the old school valentines you'd make for your parents with the big heart shaped doilies, stickers, glitter, and markers. I ended up getting some white heart doilies, red cut out hearts, and pink, red, and white foam hearts. I decided to do a watercolor paint on paper with the party info on it and glue it to the red heart cutouts that was glues to the doilies. Around the outside of the watercolor paper I stuck glitter foam hearts. Overall I really liked it! It was the same sort of valentines I'd make for my parents. I bought pink and purple envelopes and mailed them out to family and friends.

As for my decorations, I made this cute tassel garland

I made these hanging heart strings with cute out hearts and clear fishing line.

I have other store bought decorations to put up around the kitchen and dinning room. Like red poms and valentines garland.

I think everything turned out awesome!

2014 Already?!

Wow, where has the time gone?! Long time no blogging?!

I was just looking back through my older posts and the last one was B's birth!? Now she's going to be 2 this week, I can't handle it... I'm so stinkin' excited for it I thought what better way to start her Birthday Bubble than to catch Strep throat (NOT)! No worries though, this won't stop me from throwing an epic 2nd birthday.

Hopefully I can start sharing more of what my family and I are up to. Come check back in a year (haha no I'll be better than that)!

The day Blair was born

Say hello to the family of 4!! Blair arrived Monday afternoon and we are all in LOVE with her! I am the happiest mommy every right now, I have my big baby boy and my little baby girl! This afternoon we all cuddled up and watch a movie and took a few pictures. I am so in love with my children...

I never really got a chance to sit down and write Will's birth story when it was nice and fresh in my mind. Bummer but I still remember every thing about that day. So I want to take the time to tell you all about Blair's birth.

I didnt know how I was going to be able to get any sleep the night before the induction. Well let me tell you, I was up at least every hour to look at the clock to see if it was 6 AM yet. When 6AM came around I just laid in bed thinking about how today was the day...it had finally arrived. I had breakfast, got the rest of my hospital bag packed, and went upstairs to Will's room to give him one more kiss. I cried...yes i said it...I cried and thought to myself 'I can't have another baby, Willy is my baby' but than I also thought 'this will be good for him, he'll have a permanent best friend'. My parents came to the house to wait for Will to wake up while we went off to the hospital.

The whole was I couldn't stop thinking that we were having another baby today! Once at the hospital and all checked-in they checked me and I was 3 almost 4cm dialated. My nurse started me on pitocin around 8 and it all begain from there on out. Half an hour later the resident doctor came in to break my water. From there Jack and I just watched the Today show and hung out. Around 10:30ish my older sister and my mom had arrived at the hospital and I was than dialated to 5cm. Now from here on out labor went fairly quick! Every contraction I had to breath though and concentrate on something else. We had told my nurse that if we wanted any medicine at all we'd like fentanyl. The nurse had came back and told us that after 7cm they don't give it to you cause it can cause respritory depression on the baby. So she told me to think about it in the next half an hour. Well...I got this HUGE contraction that was super hard to breath through and told Jack to find our nurse cause I wanted the medicine. She wanted to check me before she gave me anything. Told me I was 8-9cm and I was past the point of having any medicine. This all happened so fast I couldnt believe it. It seriously took a half an hour for me to get from 6cm to 8-9 cm. So my nurse got on the phone to call my Doctor and tell her to come to the hospital. I knew I wasnt just 8-9cm...I was 10cm cause with every contraction I had the urge to push. I kept asking if there was another delivery doctor who could come in to get this babe out but my nurse kept saying just wait she's almost here. I thought it was only 20 minutes long till the doctor came through the doors, but I guess it had taken her 45 minutes to get to the hospital!! So I was waiting 45 minutes to deliver this baby!! Could push or anything....I can't believe I made it. I wish I could describe how it was to not push...but I just can't put it into words(maybe thats a good thing for you friends). Doctor walks into the room scrubs up and looks at the clock before she sits down. I left a contraction coming on and my nurse said "take a breath in and push", so I did 3 pushes in one contraction and my little girl was born!! My mother and sister both had told me it was noon when doc looked at the clock and Blair was born at 12:02. Doc laied her on my chest and we just looked at each other for the longest time. I can remeber say(and crying a little) "I can't wait for Will to meet you!" Nurse took her to be weighed: coming in at 7lbs 11oz and 20in long...PERFECT!!!! In all labor lasted only for 4 hours, not to shabby I say. Her blood sugar was a little low so we did have to give her a little formula to bring that up but other than that she was a beautiful health little girl.

We all just hung out and passed Blair around till I was moved another room. Jack went to get Will to bring him up to meet his little sister. Jack had said Will was so excited to see mommy and sissy. Will just stared at her for a bit and talked very quietly to her. He even gave her a little kiss :) When we asked if he wanted to hold her though, he said "no no" and got right off the bed. He wouldnt even give me a hug either...little stinker. I stayed at the hospital only that night and was discharged at 1:00PM the following day. So a 25 hour hospital stay all in all. Woohoo!

I can't tell you all how amazing you feel afterwards when you go without medication in a delivery. I felt and still feel amaing! If you can do it I say go all natural baby!! I also want to thank all of you family and friend for the kind words these last few days. Thank you so much and we can't wait for you all to meet/see her. We know you'll fall in love with her too.

Weekend of 3

Well this was our last weekend as a family of three, and we couldn't have spent it any better! Friday night we went to the UNO Hockey game with my parents. It was Will's very first game and he did amazing! I totally thought that we would only stay for 2 period, but we made it through all 3! When we first walked into the arena his eyes got so big and round and his mouth just hung open; he was just in awe of the whole place. It was so totally worth going just to see that priceless look on his face. Grandma and Papa sure did spoil him at the game as well. He ate popcorn, had sips of my soda(bad mommy), pizza, french fires, and to top it all off Dip'n'dots! He had so much fun he was talking about it the next morning with daddy.

Saturday it was so snowy we just stayed at home and watch so much batman/justice league, a little basketball, and daddy played Mario World 3(Will sure got a kick out of that). By the end of the night we were taking pictures and videos of ourselves, we must have been bored from being in the house all day. But all and all it was quite a relaxing night, which was nice for all of us to have before the hosue gets a new addition.

Now today is Super Bowl Sunday...We started the morning off with breakfast at my parents house. My mom made french toast, REAL bacon, turkey sausage links, dippy eggs, and sliced strawberries! It was a great breakfast, thanks Mom!!!! Now for the rest of the day its getting the house all ready to go for new babe and cleaning. Until game time...than its to Papa Nana Butch's house as Will says.

Jack nor I are very interested in the game much but we'll be watching it. And I'll be rooting for......

Most of you might know this family is purely Buffalo Bills during the season. My reasoning for rooting for the pats is because Tom Brady is just so much cuter than Eli Manning. So its a no brainer right there! I will probaby be paying more attention to the commercials that the game really. I  really hope there are some good ones this year. Plus this years half-time proformance should be some what decent, I mean it is Madonna.

These last few years with it just being the 3 of us has been such a great chapter in our lives, we couldn't be more happy. I know we are all excited to start this new chapter in our life; being a family of 4! I know Jack will just fall head over heels for Blair like he did with Will. They both are going to have mommy and daddy wrapped around their little fingers for a long long time, and I'm ok with that!! Will is going to be the BEST big brother any little girl could ask for. When he says her name it sounds like "bear" and its the cutest darn things ever! I can't wait so show you all pictures of him holding her and share the stories to come about the two of them. Its going to be the best ride ever and it all starts tomorrow...

It's been such a long time since I have posted anything on here. With keeping Will entertained and growing a whole new person it can get a little crazy busy around here. Plus it doesn't help that I have major prego brain. So fair warning this post will be a big guy...

I am currently 38 weeks and 5 days. I am happy to announce that I had my very last weekly doctors appointment today. If our little girl doesn't arrive in the next few days we'll be induced on Monday at 7 AM. A few emotions went though my mind when I got that call from the nurse; excitement, nervous, anxious, sad, happy, so basically every emotion you can think of. Its nice to know there is a ending coming. This pregnancy has had its ups and downs, but thankfully they've been more ups! I couldn't believe it took only 20 minutes for the nurse to have a day and time scheduled for this, but than again it didn't.

As for Willy, I believe he is now starting to guess what all this doctor visits and baby room/clothes stuff is coming to. Last week he was very needy, which is ok, he's still my baby :) But man, that whiney cry he was doing sure did get on my nerves sometimes. We have had fun adventures last month and these last two weeks with one another. The first weekend of Janruary my older sister, her husband, their daughter Norah, my mom, Jack, Will, and I went to go see Elmo Live. Will was in such aw of the whole thing. He sat in his own chair eating popcorn watching very intently for 20 minutes; than went to sit with Grandma for the rest of the show.

Last week we made a trip to the children's museum, which he just had a blast at! He ran all over the place and I didn't stop him once. I had a permanent smile on my face the whole time we were there my face hurt when we got home. Its such fun watching him play and wondering what he thinks of everything. He just melts my heart everyday. I would say he had the most fun in this mesh fire house deal...I might not be explaining it right but that is my take on what it is.

This week we ventured over to the zoo to have a fun animal filled morning. I also got the family a zoo pass for this year. I have a feeling we'll be going quite a few times this year. We went to the desert dome, the kingdom of the night, and to see the gorillas. He got a kick out of the bats and the "cave" under the desert dome. He kept calling it "the bat cave" and it was where Batman lived. He really enjoyed the gorillas. It was a bbeautiful day when we went so the gorilas were having fun and banging on the glass and everything. He kept calling all the gorillas "Gorilla Grodd"(for those of you who dont know who this is its a villian of the Justice Leauge)

We also had a nice little "doughdee" date this week with daddy too. We love those "doughdees".
I can't wait to add the next addition to our little family!! Will is going to be the BEST big brother ever, I just know it. I'll post again VERY soon, promise! Here are just a few other pictures that I love and want to share with you all...
