It's a GIRL!

Well my friends we're found out what out little baby #2 is on Wednesday! And I'm so happy to say its a... GIRL!!  She was very shy during the ultrasound, she had her hand up by her face for most of it. The doc and the tech said she looked very healthly, which is always a relief. I have always wanted a boy and a girl, that way I get the best of both! But after I had Will I felt like I was just going to having all boys. This little one I had even thought was a boy. Jack had called it as soon as we found out, "Its going to be a girl, I just have this feeling" is what he had said. He had even said that with Will being a boy before we found out. Now he is 2 for 2. I also have so many friends that are having babes this next year and they are all having girls, so I had also though because everyone is having a gril we had to be having a boy...well that was not the case. I get my own little mini Rachael! Jack his his mini me and I get mine...I'm so excited!!! With this pregnancy we're paying out of pocket and on the car ride home I said to Jack "You know now that we're having a girl, we don't have to pay $500 for a circumcision." he than says "Yea your right!". With Will when we found out we went to get a coming home outfit and we did the same this one! Its adorable!

We also have a named picked out...its Blair Marie Grange. Jack and I are very into the family names and both of which are. So we'll have William and Blair :) I couldnt be any more excited!!! Here are just a few of the ultrasound pictures...
This her cute little profile

And this is a 3D image of her of her sweet little face :)

Its been too way WAY long

Oh my how the time seems to fly...So sorry for the delay on posts recently. It been quite fun filled last few weeks.

Will's big boy room is painted! Its all done thanks to my parents for helping last weekend. I painted the ceiling one afternoon and just didnt have the energy for 2 days to paint the rest. It had taken quite a while to find the right color of light blue to paint on the ceiling. the first I had pick was way too dark. But everything is looking good now! Hopefully we can get the rest of his room put together by the middle of this next month so we can start to play/hang out in the new room with Will. I plan on putting a chalk board in the little play area off the room and a rug with roads. I'm quite excited for this to all be done and show the finished room off. As for the new baby room I would also like to paint that room too. I was thinking horizontal stripes in a neutral color like light grey and grey or something along these lines...

I have many other plans for painting in this house but I think that enough for the time being.

As for other news Jack has started to work in the office much more these last two weeks. Which has been really nice! Don't get me wrong I loved when he was home and could hang out with us...but its nice to get back into the swing of things with just Will and myself being home during the day. He also goes in a little late some mornings so we all get to see/hang out with one another before he heads out. Its been really nice for me and Jack.

The Granges have really been enjoying the football weekends. I've been so excited for the Huskers on Saturdays and Buffalo Bills on Sundays. So far so good for both teams!

Baby #2 has been growing like a weed. I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow which means baby is 6 1/2 inches and 10 ounces!! We have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday the 28th and we'll be able to find out the sex of the baby!! We can't wait, we're so excited. I still think its going to be a boy, but my older sis and others believe its a girl...so we'll just have to wait and see :) I have also been feeling so much movement lately. Plus I definitely have a "baby bump" or as I'd like to call it a baby belly. Its no longer a bump but a full belly of baby it looks like. which only means....I'm going to be getting much much bigger. This picture is at 18 weeks

This weekend is going to be a fun and exciting one. My older sister, her husband, and my niece are coming into town this weekend to watch the Huskers and go to Vala's Pumpkin Patch! Its going to be a great weekend and will probably go by WAY to fast...which is always sad. BUT that just means we get to see our baby #2 that much sooner! Well have a great weekend ya'll and I hope to post much much sooner with the baby gender update! What do you think baby #2 is?!

Birthday weekend

This last weekend was my birthday and for some reason I was so stinking excited to turn 25!! I had one of the best birthdays ever! It was so relaxing and fun at the same time. My younger sister got me a ton of bath products from Lush. And let me tell you, if you haven't tried anything of theirs you must! They have so may bath products that I love, I definitely can't pick just one thing. My parents got me my favorite meal at Panera Bread, which is a U-pick 2 with a cup of Broccoli Cheddar and a 1/2 of a Frontega Chicken Panini, and a Chocolate Duet Cookie (those are to die for!!) They also gave me a card Will painted for me with some cash. Jack didnt really get me anything, but I'll take going out to lunch at LJS (my guilty pleasure). I did get myself something a pair of marernity jeans and a top from GAP. So I'd say I made out like a bandit on gifts.

Jack and I later than night went to the Omaha Fashion Week Finale with friends. It was my first time there and I must say, I will be going back next year. Thanks Marlina and Dusty!!!! We had VIP tickets to the event and our table was right infront  of the runway!! There was also yummy sweet/snacks at the table I took part in but had none of the bottle of Grey Goose and mixers. I rolled with the shirley temples, and were they yummy! The designer collections were amazing and so much fun to watch! Since we were VIP-ers we had a mini red carpet to walk and got our picture taken at the end of it. Well the gal incharge of this red carpet deal liked my outfit so much she had asked me to take a photo without Jack, so i did. I was quite shocked, thank goodness they didnt ask who I was wearing! I might have been a little embarrassed to say.

As for this week, nothing too exciting. I'm 17 weeks along and starting to feel MUCH better finally. No weight gain yet wich is pretty amazing. I was a little worried, but I have noticed I can eat about anything and everything I want this week. So my guess is I'll be gaining some weight in the next week. I also have started to feel much more movement from my little baby bean this week, which is always exciting. I have also started to show much more this week than last, I think its time to break out the camera to take weekly pictures of my ever growing baby belly. Well its almost the weekend and I sooo can't wait for the Husker game on Saturday. Just like I'm sure most of us Nebraskans are!! I can't decide what I want to make for the game, everything sounds so yummy to me right now! but anywho.... GO BIG RED!!!!

Holy cow, its been too long!

I have just realized the last time I wrote a post was August 11!! I need to get back on the ball with this, sorry blog friends. Well let's see if I can sum up the last two weeks in a single blog post.

The weekend of the 13th Jack Will and I went to the Iowa State Fair with my older sister, her husband and their 1 year old daughter. We had such a great time too! We saw pigs, cows, chickens, and horses OH MY! I ate probably the best corndog of my life, even though it had a hair in it, gotta love that protien! Every year the fair does "something on a stick" and this year it was butter with a cinnamon batter and dipping sauce. I guess the butter melts into the batter when fried. Just hearing that made my arteries clog. I didn't try it if your asking. This is Will doing the fairs "little hands on the farm"

Monday the 15th Jack and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary! WOO HOO! We celebrated later in the week and went to dinner and a movie. It was a nice and relaxing way to celebrate.

Will and I have started to go to the Papillion Library's Toddler Time. Will hasn't been real keen on the singing and dancing part of the fun time, but he does enjoy the books and playtime afterwards. We than head to the park to play for a bit before lunch time :) He seems to be a lot more cool and calm when we do big mornings like that.

This week has just been great thus far and the weekend is going to be even better! Yay for the weekend! Hope you all have a good one.

A relaxing week

Recently I have become obsessed with Pintrest (Thanks Lindsay for that one!) But seriously its simply amazing, I can lose myself in that website for hours. I have found amazing recipes, DIY crafts, and nursery/Will's room ideas. I've already found my x-mas cookies for the annual Christmas cookie swap. I love this website! The ladies will probably enjoy it more than the fellas, sorry guys.

As for other things in the world of us Grange's, this week has been quite relaxing to say the least. The weather has been wonderful out and we've all been able to hit the park without wanting to pass out with heat exhaustion. Maybe I can get back outside and do some late summer gardening/clean-up. I've let my backyard go WiLd in some spot. Plus I have this pesky yellow nutsedge that just won't go away even with putting killing spary on it.

As far as the pregnacy goes everythings going great, I seem to be much more nervous this time around when I go into the doctors office. Not quite sure why? My energy level seems to be coming back finally, now if I could just kick this stomach stuff I would be one happy lady. Will saw pictures of the last ultrasound and went through each one and said "baby, baby, baby, my baby." it was adorable! Will is talking more and more everyday, its simply amazing how fast kids can pick up new words by the minute. Jack and I have also decided to start on his new big boy room. Our goal is by Thanksgiving to have him sleeping in a big boy bed. I've been quite excited to start painting and decorating his new room. I have so many ideas for his room and the new baby's room. Jack better keep his eye on me or I might go bonkers, just kidding Jack!!!! I'll have picture to come for sure though.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!!!

Super senses....my smell

Well this time around has been quite the experience with my smell. It is so sensitive to smell that one little stink will make me gag.

Take tonight for instence, Will told me he was "bo bo" or poopy, so I take him up to change. Well my nose was not having it tonight. i was gagging and holding back vomit with all my might till i got that diaper on Will and him off the changing table. Than I ran, Will following behind me, to my bathroom and preceeded to meet the bowl. Will was quite startled, he looked like he was ready to cry, but he just said "bo bo?" and spit in the bowl with me.

Awww the things us mothers go through to have kids. Granted that was only the second time I've had a relationship with my toilet this pregnancy. Not too shabby I'd say!

What a week...

Well I am so glad this week is about to be over, its been a rough one. So far this pregnancy has rocked my socks off! I mean in the beginning I was so hungry I just wanted to eat all the time, but now it seems like food and me don't mix very well. I'm so glad to be getting out of this first trimester funk! Bring on the second trimester!!!!!!

Potty Training update: we have peed in the potty once which is super!! But I need more than just a one timer, I'll be trying harder this next week for sure. He also took a tumble off his potty stool, which might have set him back just a tad, but we'll see.

As for Jack and Will, I'm guessing their week went much better than mine. Jack is busy with work, which is GREAT! I'm so glad his new venture is taking off and fast. I know this next year will be crazy busy for the both of us. I'm excited but also nervous (good nervous though!). He'll be leaving the house to work in his office soon and its bittersweet. He actually has been such great help these past 3 months. Letting me go upstairs to nap when i'm not feeling well, helping out with Will if he needs a snack or a show, even a diaper change once in awhile :)

Will's week has been great, I mean does he not think every week isnt great? We had nana, papa, great-grandma, great-grandpa, and maggie over for an hour or 2 and he just thought he was the center of the world!! He was just cheesing it up, one of the cutest things ever by the way. We went to grandma Sigler's house to help cut flowers and eat lunch. He always colors and watches his little personal dvd player with his favorite baby dvd (it drives me completely nuts, but anything for that little boy). He also got to see my brother, "corwe" as he calls him. Lately I've been asking "Where's Cory?" and will always replies with "Corwe at the pool" its just another cute thing he does.

This weekend is going to be a fun one, we'll probably head to nana papa's house, see grammy while we're at the lake, and Sunday is my dad's 57th birthday. So party at the Sigler's house!!!

half a week in a post

Sorry for the delay on a new post, this week has been a doozy!

Well today was the start of potty training. So far we've wet through 2 pairs of undies and have not gone in the potty. I sat him donw once he told me and he than told me he no longer had to go. So I of course let him back out in the living room with his lego batman undies on. Seriously 2 minutes later the little bugger had wet himself. I have a feeling I have my work cut out for me on this task, but I am so up for the job!! I would love to not have to change diapers any longer. February is going to come much faster than I think. I would like to only have diaper duty for one child. I'll keep you all updated on the progress!

This week was sooo freaking HOT! Will and I hardly made it outside. We did however go to the Papio Bay on Tuesday and let me tell you, Will had so much fun! He must have gone down the kiddy water slide 50+ times. We than ventured over to the adult pool area where he watch the big kids jump off the diving board and go down the water slide. We stayed in after the whistle had blown for break and just laid in the shallow area. We had so much fun and he took an amazing nap!

Last night was the first date night Jack and I had been on in quite sometime. It was so nice to get away from the house and have time together. At the end of the night though I always say "Aww Will's going to be asleep when we get home." We went out to West Omaha and had a glass of wine at Brix (love that place!) and had our favorite meal at our favorite resaurant, sushi at Hiro! I loved it and I cant wait to go out next week. I have half a mind to go back to Hiro cause I just can't get enough sushi there. Plus next time I have to get their chocolate cake, its to DIE for!

Well friends, till my next post, hopefully much sooner than last.

Bookworm

I love to read, but recently I have had nothing to read...which means while Will naps I spend my time laying on the couch watching TV shows or movies. Not really a bad thing, but I would much rather spend that time reading. Jack never likes it when I find a good book/series to read cause I just become so obsessed with the book that I'd rather read than watch our tv shows together. Sorry Jack. I have 2 new books to come out at the end of August (YAY!!!), but I know I can get a book read before than. So if any of you have a book you could refer to me that would be great! I'm up for anything!!

TGIF

Sometimes I seriously can't wait for the weekend to be here. This firday was a very special one. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out which I am so completely stoke to go see.  If my younger sister were here we definitely would have been at the midnight showing!! Jack on the other hand would rather not go see it with me until he found out that a trailer for the The Dark Knight Rises is playing before Harry. I hope a date night can be made out of this...possibily?!

As for the other excitement for today, Jack and I had out very first doctors appointment for baby #2! That's right, you head me!! BABY #2!! Will is going to be a big brother and we couldn't be any happier! Jack had told me that I should say something to my friends on Facebook before pictures arise (from family) of my ever growing abdomen. So my blog friends, your the first I've told outside family and close friends. Baby #2 is due in Febraury 9th I believe. The ultrasound tech said something about the date but I was too busy watching baby bean dance on the screen.

Well friends enjoy the weekend, its going to be a scorcher!!

Hello! Hello?

Hi there! Well its my very first blog post, I thought I would start this to share a little with you all about what's been going on here in the Grange household. I'll try to post as often I can! This is a very new thing for me, so let's see where it take me :)
